Just two miles from the parc are Carnac's famous Standing Stones, and there's an excellent choice of restaurants at Carnac Plage. Auray offers a weekly market and ancient Vannes has a popular aquarium, great for a family day out. Foret Adrenaline, a treetop adventure park and Fun Land, a quad/motorbiking circuit are also a short drive away. The port of Trinité-sur-Mer is also close by.

Forêt Adrénaline

Forêt Adrénaline, as the name would suggest, is lots of adrenaline fueled thrills in the middle of a forest. 11 courses, 160 challenges, up to 17 metres high, including bridges, climbs and zip-wires. The smallest course is possible for children as young as 2 years of age.

Nature reserve

Brière National

The beautiful Brière National parc is a lovelty spot, as is the Gulf of Morbihan. The parc has lots of fabulous wildlife, so spread your wings, open your eagle eyes and explore.

Carnac stones

Opposite the parc entrance you can see menhirs, France's Stonehenge. Around 4000 stones reach all the way to Carnac-Ville and discovering them makes for a fascinating day out. To find out more about them visit the superb ‘Maison de Megaliths’.



Vannes is also attractive with its old streets, and your trip can fit in with a trip to the town’s aquarium which should keep the family occupied for around two hours.



Auray is lovely for sightseeing with its ancient Breton history and attractive medieval harbour, and it also has weekly bustling markets for the perfect french baguette or cute keyring.

Events, Feu de la St Jean, Kerveillan

Feu de la St Jean

Kervillen beach is lit up with bonfires for the celebration of St Jean. Everyone gathers around, listens to live music, visits the bar and snack stalls and has a good time. It is a 'fest-noz' so there will be traditional Breton dancing.

Tour de France

Tour de France

With gruelling routes covering some of France's most beautifully scenic regions, the Tour de France is an iconic cycle race, attracting huge crowds along the route. The Grand Départ of 2018 takes place on the 7th July starting on the Island of Noirmoutier. The early stages of the race go through the Vendée and Brittany regions. As usual there are exciting mountains stages in the French Alps and the Pyrenees.The races finishes in Paris on the 29th July.
