Nature reserve

Reserve des Marais de Séné

Reserve des Marais de Séné is a site of international importance: a nature reserve supporting the reproduction of migratory birds. If the family enjoys being up close to the animals then ‘La Ferme de Monde’ has a children’s farm where you can stroke and handle animals.  

Vannes harbour


Vannes is historic, attractive, and fascinating. There is a great deal to explore so allow yourself plenty of time. A good starting point is the harbour, in the south of Vannes, which leads to avenues of trees. Wander through the medieval gate to the old town, along the attractive streets and past the pretty houses.

Parc de Branféré is a park set around a château and botanical gardens cultivated in the 18th century, which is the home to many endangered species. Tour de France

Tour de France

With gruelling routes covering some of France's most beautifully scenic regions, the Tour de France is an iconic cycle race, attracting huge crowds along the route. The Grand Départ of 2018 takes place on the 7th July starting on the Island of Noirmoutier. The early stages of the race go through the Vendée and Brittany regions. As usual there are exciting mountains stages in the French Alps and the Pyrenees.The races finishes in Paris on the 29th July.

Events, Festival du Conte de Baden

Festival du Conte de Baden

This is a storytelling festival with around 50 events over the course of a week. The festival brings a joyful atmosphere to Baden. 2018 dates to be confirmed.
