The lively and fashionable town of Platja d'Aro is just about 2km from the parc, and is perfect for finding evening entertainment if you wish to venture off-parc. Also close to the parc is the Aquadiver water park with various attractions suitable for all ages. For something a bit different, why not take a boat trip out to the uninhabited Medes Islands, where you can have a go at scuba diving? For history lovers, there's the Benedormiens Castle just over 4km away, and the ancient city of Girona, less than 40km away.

Aquadiver Water Park

Aquadiver Water Park is very close to this campsite and it’s a great attraction for entertaining toddlers and teenagers. There are lots of baby pools and adventure lakes, as well as high speed slides and rapids. Aquadiver gets you a free ticket to Waterworld.


Benedormiens Castle

History lovers must visit Benedormiens Castle just over 4 km away and the ancient city of Girona, less than 40 km away. The castle was built to protect the Spanish coast, and it now protects the areas culture; it's now a centre for exhibitions and cultural events.

This campsite is only a 30 minute journey from the lively, elegant resort of Platja d’Aro, which has a large beach that’s perfect for relaxing in the sun and excellent shops, restaurants and attractions.



Cadaqués is said to have been a great source of inspiration for Salvador Dali, who spend many summers here. The Dali Museum in Figueres is immensely interesting and has over 1500 of the genius’ masterpieces.

Explore the coastline, see the ocean waves crashing over the rocky shore, and hear the sound of the ships sails clinking in the harbour - you'll find lots of traditional Spanish fishing ports like Palamós, only three miles from the parc. Or you could explore from off shore and take a boat trip to the stunning Medes Islands.

Celebrate the summer solstice around a bonfire with music and dancing. Squares, streets and beaches are filled with fireworks and merrymakers. Be warned the firecrackers are plentiful. 2018 dates to be confirmed.

Singing of Havaneres, Calella de Palafrugell

A sea of boats and people crowd the the cove of Portbò to sing sea shanties and dance along with the guitars and accordion. Havaneres are usually listened to with a ron cremat in hand - run flamed with coffee beans.

Off Parc Activities

Direct access onto Calonge beach from the campsite means there are lots of sports and activities right at your feet. There are lots of great facilities surrounding the site: canoeing, cycle hire, quad biking horse riding, mini-golf and fishing facilities can all be found within a 10 km radius.

If you take a trip to the Medes Islands you must try scuba diving; the crystal clear warm Mediterranean waters and the spectacular flora and fauna will make it an unforgettable dive. If you would like a diving lesson then you can find facilities just 3 km from the parc.
