Sightseeing

The Istria peninsula offers a wealth of attractions both on and offshore. The Brijuni National Park with it's mass of beautiful islands is perfect for boat trips and excursions.  In July and August, you can even catch the passenger ferry from Pula to Venice!  The ferry from Pula leaves around 7.30 am arriving at 11am. The return ferry from Venice leaves around 5pm. This is a popular excursion, so pre-booking is advised. Alternatively, why not take a panoramic flight and discover the area from the air!

Pula

The pretty town of Pula is famous for it's Roman arena - one of the best preserved and largest in the world. Built for 20,000 spectators it is still used today for summer concerts and festivals. Pula is a major fishing port, so expect some great seafood restaurants too!.

Brijuni National Park

Catch a boat from nearby Fažana and explore 14 beautiful islands just off the coast. Varying widely on size, you can find pristine beaches and even a golf course. On Veli Brijun island you can mix archaeological sights with a visit to a Safari park.

Rovinj

A must see town, with the pastel coloured houses and winding streets providing a picturesque backdrop to the busy fishing port. The tangle of cobbled streets (full of art galleries, bars and restaurants) lead to the hilltop church of St Euphemia.

Novigrad

Set on the Istrian coast, this historic town is another tourist hotspot - the old town is small, but really charming. Novigrad is also one of the top Istrian gourmet destinations, making a trip here a real culinary experience.

Off Parc Activities

The clear waters are perfect for diving, sailing and all kinds of watersports, but there is plenty to do on land too.  Adventure Park Pula features an 80m long zip wire and a tree top adventure course for children and adults alike. Also near Pula is one of the largest karting courses in Europe. If gentler pursuits are more your thing, take to two wheels and go for a ride on one of the many cycling trails. Try the Gladiators trail which takes you to the little town of Fažana or choose the Orchids trail and see if you can find all the 22 different kinds of orchids which grow in the area.
