We, and other family members, have stayed in many sites with Eurocamp and this was the worst reception service of all. After 6-7 hours driving through heavy rain I was unable to access the site in my car as the barrier could not (or would not) be lifted by a member of Eurocamp staff. Therefore I had to park on the opposite side of a busy road with major road works in progress, cross the road in heavy rain, walk up the steep slope past the barrier and walk beyond the site reception to reach the Eurocamp reception. Only then was I given a fob to open the barrier. It is site rules I was told. We had difficulty finding the static we were alloccated and unlike our usual experiences no member of staff accompanied us to find it. We only had any further visits from Eurocamp staff on our last day of the stay as we prepared to leave. As a couple in our 70s this has undermined our confidence in using Eurocamp service again.

Hello Nicholas

Thank you for your feedback after your recent stay at Le Ruisseau.

I am really sorry to hear you had these issues when checking in, the parcs are really strict with security which benefits both the staff on site and our customers and this will be the reason you cannot drive on without being checked in and given a fob.

You are correct, for many years we have shown you to your accommodation this did cause some issues when there were several customers arriving at the same time and the wait to check increased greatly so as we are always looking for ways to improve the service and after lots of research and feedback the process was changed last year.

The couriers should be visiting you a day after your arrival and the day before departure and I am sorry this did not happen on this occasion.

I hope you can understand the reasoning behind the issues you have highlighted and that I have restored your confidence a little and that you will think of holidaying with us again.

Kindest regards

Denise

The Eurocamp mobile home was very good, specially the sheltered veranda is a big plus. Of course the Eurocamp Couriers are doing a great job.
But we didnt like the campsite. We don't recommend this campsite, the geographic location is good to discover the Basque Country.
But Its just too Packed, even in low season. The nearby highway is really disturbing and very anoying.

The facilities and activities were very good and varied. The pools were good, there was a small farm, aerial slides and tree top activitys. There was an inflatable slide, trampolines, a playground, also board games and inflatables to borrow from the Reception. There was also a tennis court, basketball and squash court. There were ample toilets and showers, and a BBQ with each individual accommodation. The site was I. A good position, with plenty of trees and access to bus and trains.
The bad points.
1) cars drive to fast and didn't care for pedestrians, as there were no pavements. Perhaps the access should be one way!
2) Even though quiet time was from 23:00hours, done people completely disregarded this.
3) the plastic sun loungers were incredibley uncofirtabled and hard. The loungers on the warner poool were sparse and most of them were dirty and damaged.
4) it was a bit of a walk to the recycling area.
Shops and reception were closed for lunch and early at night.
6) the toilets had no soap to wash hands.
7) some of the animals were not that healthy, kids were feeding them acorns which make them ill, the llama had it head collar around its beck for a week, & a goat had a severe eye infection.
8) the net supports on the tennis court were rusty and broken.
9) the blue blankets looked and smelt like they hadn't been washed all summer. There weren't any hooks to hand costs on, & the usual lack of coat hangers and lack of storage. The kitchen was lacking in utensils.
10) the on site shop was lacking in selection and extremely expensive.
There wasn't much in the way of entertainment and activities for children over 10.
Whilst I gave highlighted the issues, they didn't spoil our holiday, but buy making some adjustments, this holiday could have gone from being good to excellent!

The Parc is very isolated, with no restaurants or shops within reasonable walking distance. The site shop and restaurant is nice but very expensive. 90 euro for a family of 4 to have a 2 course dinner (this doesn't include drinks).
The accommodation was poor, very basic, run down and in need of a good clear. Mould in the shower which leaked. The toilet smelt revolting, and the door handle kept coming off! One of the single beds had slats missing, my son fell through it. The double bedroom was very 'cosy' we are not large people, but couldn't walk around the bed. This could prove hazardous for someone with a balance or vision problem.

It’s such a shame to hear that you were disappointed with some aspects of your holiday. In particular, we’re truly sorry that you felt let down with accommodation allocated to you on this occasion. We do value your feedback as this really does help to identify areas that we need to improve upon. As part of our accommodation development, this parc will be having a change of some of the accommodation and we will be adding some brand new units for next year. Thank you again for taking the time to share your comments with us and we look forward to welcoming you on a Eurocamp holiday again soon. Customer Care Team.
