About 14km from the parc is the Château Medieval d'Oricourt which was built in the 12th century and is extremely well preserved. Besançon is just under 50km away and most definitely worth a day out, rich in history with its 19th century astronomical clock, cathedral, palaces and museums. There are also the Gouffre de Poudrey caves where you can take a quided tour and marvel at its 'son et lumière' (sound and light) show.

Days Out



Nearby Besançon is great for sightseeing, well worth a little bit of a drive (60 km). The UNESCO World Heritage Site has beautiful historic buildings, including the cathedral, palace and museums, and regularly host fabulous festivals. If you’ve got time you must visit the 19th century astronomical clock, which is a listed national monument of France. If you are happy with a bit of a walk then climb up to the town’s Citadel on the hill to get fabulous panoramic views of Besançon.


Gouffre de Poudrey

Discover what lies beneath your feet at the Gouffre de Poudrey. Take the guided tour around the marvellous caves and see them in all of their beauty during the son et lumière (the sound and light) show. Why not couple your visit to the caves with a trip to ‘Dino Parc’ just 10 minutes away. Here you can see models tracing the evolution of life, from dinosaurs to modern man.

Off Parc Activities

Château de Bournel is very close to this parc which is a keen favourite with golfers. If you need a bit of practise first then there is a driving range 6 km from the campsite. If you would like to enjoy the outdoors but golf isn’t really your thing, then why not soak up the sun during a game of tennis? There are courts just 3 km away.
