Days Out

Luxembourg countryside

Mersch, just 10 km away, is popular with walkers because of the stunning scenery, but it also offers the natural springs of Hunnebour, prehistoric caves of Mamer, and St Michael’s tower.

One of the most popular places in Mullerthal is the “Schießentümpel” – a little stone bridge over a small waterfall with three cascades. So lovely you expect little red riding hood to walk by.

Luxembourg City

Luxembourg City

A great way to see the city is on the Wenzel Circular Walk around the city - a well signposted, 2 hour walk that takes you past the city’s finest buildings like the Grand Ducal Palace, Luxembourg cathedral, Neumunster Abbey and the stunning Adolphe Bridge.

‘Little Switzerland’ or Mullerthal will be loved by those who enjoy the fresh air of the forests and adventuring in the woods. It is an area rich in natural beauty with interesting rock formations and caverns, and unique vegetation grows here because of the almost 100% humidity.

Just 1 km away is the beautiful town of Larochette. It is an old market town with charming old streets, woodland walks, an industry museum and the ruins of Larochette castle.
