- Down to earth with a bump after our 6 nights in The Dordogne. This rather noisy camp is packed with what look like contractors from all over Europe who use it as cheap accommodation. It was just about ok for a one-night stopover.
The decking outside our cabin was old. I went outside at around 11.30pm and slipped down the steps, damaging my back. I subsequently visited hospital in Paris and I'm still in considerable pain having caused muscle damage to my back. The couriers were extremely helpful and the incident has been recorded in the site accident book. What we found concerning was that the exterior light was not working despite the box being ticked in the welcome pack, that all bulbs were in good order. Also there were no anti-slip strips on the decking steps although on returning the key to the office the next morning we noticed all the steps to the office were anti-slip protected!
