Our parc at Castellane is located just a scenic 30km drive away from probably the best known and most visited sports climbing area in Europe. The Verdon Gorge is a huge limestone cliff that rises up to 700m high, with some routes only accessible by abseiling from the top. You’ll also reach some of the other popular routes by walking through tunnels at the bottom of what is widely regarded as Europe’s most stunning canyon. In fact, the longest tunnel is a massive 670 metres long, pitch black and requires you to get wading in places, adding even more adventure to your climbs in the Verdon Gorge. The incredible scenery and range of climbs really has to be seen to be believed, with 1500 established routes that include beginners’ and middle grade single pitch routes with easy access.
