Enjoy some family fun at Cavallino Matto, the largest amusement park in Tuscany situated about 18km from the parc, or splash around at Aqua Village water park in Cecina, about 35km away. Castagneto Carducci is a medieval town, well worth a visit for the wonderful countryside views. However, don't forget the other must-see cities; Florence, Pisa, Rome and Siena... Ample photographic opportunities await! If you still have time, take a ferry to the island of Elba, where you can relax on the beaches and take a dip in the perfect blue sea.

Castagneto Carducci

Castagneto Carducci is also well worth a visit, offering medieval treasures and wonderful countryside views, as is the town of San Vincenzo, just 8 km from the parc.

One of the most stunning sights you will see here is the sunset. Watching the sun go down at Baratti Bay will make your holiday unforgettable. From Baratti Bay you can explore medieval Etruscan towns such as Populonia or Massa Marittima.


Populonia Archaeological Park

For an entertaining and educational day out, visit Populonia Archaeological Park in Piombino. It's part of ‘The Parks of Val di Cornia’, opened in 1998 for visitors to view some of the archaeological sites and remains found in the digs conducted in the area.


Cavallino Matto

Enjoy some family fun at Cavallino Matto, the largest amusement park in Tuscany, situated about 18km from the parc. It has a good selection of roller coasters and activities for teenagers as well as more gentle rides for younger children.



Italy is rich in Roman history and you can see well preserved monuments and explore the history in Volterra, which is close to Park Albatros.



Italy has lots of beautiful sights and to make the most of the area why not catch a ferry from Piombino to the island of Elba where you can take a dip in the perfect sea and relax on the beach, or enjoy the thermal spas of Venturina, just like the Roman army did 2,000 years ago?

Events, Convivia Bibbona

In August there is the “Convivia” - a celebration of Bibbona’s produce, most notably the DOC wine, which is accompanied by live performances in the historic centre of Bibbona. This is a popular event attracting crowds of visitors who all come to enjoy wine tasting, street entertainment and markets. 2020 dates to be confirmed.

Off Parc Activities

This parc is close to Baratti Bay where you can enjoy superb swimming. Just 5 km away from the parc you can try canoeing, diving, snorkelling or windsurfing – so why not have an adventure on the water and really make a splash?!

If you prefer more of a team activity then make a racket at the tennis courts which are 5 km from the campsite or you could go on a group pony trek through the dense pinewoods bordering the beach from the local stables. If you want to sit and reflect on your amazing holiday then there are fishing facilities nearby, or if you are seeking an adrenaline thrill then you can hire quad bikes not too far away.
