Pisa's Patron Saint, St Ranieri, is celebrated by putting lights in windows of all the buildings and palaces in the city, as well as thousands of floating candles alight on the waters of the Arno. This is accompanied by a fireworks display.

Off Parc Activities

The nearest beach, Cecina Mare, is excellent for swimming and is just 9 km away. It is also good for windsurfing, so why not hire one on the beach and give it a go? Even closer than the beach you will find horse riding stables if you fancy trotting through the gorgeous Tuscan countryside.

In summer the tourist board organises cycling and walking tours from the nearby Bibbona to the “Macchia della Magona”, a beautiful stretch of pine forest teeming with wildlife.
