The first stage of the Tour de France takes place in the Vendée on Saturday 7th July.  The race always attracts large crowds and roads along the route will be closed for part of the day. Please see the Important Information section below for more details.

Roman themed, and great for roaming by bike

Where else on the Vendée can you get a thoroughly modern parc with direct beach access and within touching distance of bustling seaside resorts?

Stay at Sol à Gogo and it’s not only the superb pool complex with its Roman ruins theme and indoor pool that will keep you occupied. There’s a bar terrace to enjoy that summer drink, as well as direct access to a wonderful, sandy beach. Because of its beach side location, pitches on this parc are sandy and on the smaller side. In high season, the ‘animateur’ organises a range of activities including regular discos in the bar. When it’s time to head off parc, you’ll discover that you’re ideally placed to explore coast and country - and the cuisine of both!

Our first time doing this type of holiday and sol a gogo was a perfect introduction. Was very relaxed but there was plenty to do for us all. We would like to return in the future if not even next year.

Quiet, but nice park. Kids loved the pool and direct access to the beach was good. The man in the snack bar was very friendly and generous

We a arrived at Sol-a-Gogo on Monday 4th September and was told by the courier that the site would be closing a day early but everything would be open until then. Unfortunately that was not the case. By the Wednesday evening the bar, shop, swimming pool and reception had closed down. The mobile home was not up to standard as there were a lot of things needing repair. The door handle to mobile was very loose, the inside doors need proper closing mechanisms as they banged when shutting. The outside catch for door was very loose and did not hold the door back properly. The kitchen area was very compact and the sink unit was under an overhead cupboard restricting how you stood to wash up etc. The kitchen was off it's runner and the front was coming away from the base. The fridge freezer door was rusty and the floor was chipped in various places. There was no pedal bin for rubbish which would have been very useful. The bathroom was very cramped and the toilet seat was not fitted correctly as it moved every time it was sat on. Overall I feel the mobile needs updating as it looked old and tired. We stayed in a Classic Plus, I would suggest upgrading to a better model. The site itself was in a lovely position with direct access to the beach which was a bonus. I would return to this site but earlier in the year and in a different mobile.

Although it was almost the end of season I was very very shocked that the parc had ran out of pretty much everything and even though we had 9 nights of our holiday remaining they were shutting the club when ever they felt like it, all kids machines were empty, no ice cream left, no larger for my husband, just absolutely shocking. We have been out of peak season before to a parc only 5 mins away from here and it was completely different, save your money and go somewhere that actually care about their customer's as these clearly do not, never been so disapointed in a holiday. So much so that we packed up (stressful at 7 months pregnant) and spent the rest of our holiday at a completely different park!

It’s such a shame to hear of your recent disappointment. We do understand how the reduction of facilities can really impact a holiday and so we’ll be sure to pass your comments to our Contracting Manager for their information. We understand that you did get in touch with our team and we were able to address your points personally. We do hope this didn’t tarnish your overall Eurocamp experience and your family still had an enjoyable holiday overall. Thanks for your feedback. Customer Care Team.
