Camping Holidays in Germany
Probably the largest of its kind in the world, the Schutzenfest Fair is a giant fun fair with all the fairground attractions you'd expect - rides, carousels, food and drinks stalls and game stalls. What's more, a huge rifleman's parade makes its way through the city centre, accompanied by floats with dancers and other entertainers.
Situated on the banks of the River Weiser, stretching for almost a kilometre, Breminale is a huge arts festival with concerts, theatre groups, jugglers and other entertainers to name but a few. Great food is available across the many stalls, as well as organic produce and fairtrade stalls. And what's more, entry is free!
With up to 250,000 visitors, this is the largest family festival in southern Germany. At these open-air concerts, children are made especially welcome and are kept entertained in the supervised play areas, while the older kids take part in skateboarding competitions, as well as other fun sports and activities.
Lake Maschsee is the location of this festival, with free concerts across four stages as well as various water-based activities, including boat trips and torchlight swimming.
A race for both pros and amateurs, now considered to be an important cycling event in the sporting calendar, Cyclassics began as a comparatively small event. However, thanks to the growing popularity of cycling within Germany over the years it's become part of the UCI (International Cycling Union) ProTour. A cycling consumer fair is also put together during the weekend of the race.
A special festival with a great atmosphere - slip into your dirndl or lederhosen and join in the fun! Sample some of Germany's best beers amongst new friends.
