There are miles and miles and miles of fantastic walks in the Italian lakes – just get your boots on and off you go.
These waters are teeming with fish, including trout and salmon, so there are no excuses for coming home with nothing for dinner. There are great fishing sports everywhere - but make sure that you’ve bought a licence from a municipal office first.
Windsurfers from all over the world are drawn by Garda’s still waters and dependable winds. Nago-Torbole, at the North of the Lake has hosted a number of major championships and there are also several hire centres and schools.
It’s the Lakes, of course there’s boating and there are all sorts of boats to hire. You’ll need a licence to get your hands on a powerboat.
