Real Eurocamp guests share their stories
Holidays are about much more than travel. They’re about the memories we create, the experiences we share, and the quality time we spend with the people we love.
When the coronavirus pandemic hit, the world stopped travelling. All those places we’d planned to visit and all the people we’d planned to spend time with or meet along the way, seem so far away. But we can still treasure the holiday memories we have, and look forward to the memories we’ll make when travel is possible again.
In our Hang on to your Hols series, real Eurocamp guests, and our own editor share why holidays matter to them, and why they haven’t given up hope on their future travel plans.
The Fryer Family's Story
Business owner Mum, Natalie, and Firefighter Dad, Mark treasure their family holidays away with their two children, Blake and Sienna. Spending quality time together and reconnecting with each other is a priority, and this year is extra special as they are flying for the first time with the children, and also celebrating Mark's 20 years' service as a firefighter.
They're hanging on to their holiday to Playa Montroig, on Spain's sunny Costa Dorada coast, whenever that may be ...
The Wollaston Family's Story
The Wollaston Family have been coming on holiday with us for the past six years.
Here they share some of their favourite Eurocamp memories, and why they're not giving up on their summer holiday to Venice just yet.
The Caffrey Family's Story
The Caffrey family are heading to Domaine des Ormes in beautiful Brittany, for their fourth consecutive holiday with us. Dad Adrian told us "I can’t wait to see the kids’ faces as they set eyes on the amazing indoor aquatic complex, which resembles a giant flying saucer".
After the coronavirus lockdown ruined our plans for breaks at Easter and Whitsun we are looking forward to it more than ever. And having spent weeks stuck indoors I’m even getting excited about the drive from the port!
The Davies Family's Story
The Davies family planned their first ever holiday with us for this year, to El Bahira on the stunning island of Sicily.
They told us "We are constantly looking at where we can go and dream of destinations, so I’m really hoping when this crisis is over we can re-plan our adventures with our beautiful boy, and he can continue with his ice cream quest".
The Deadman Family's Story
Beach addict, Emma Deadman and her family, fell in love with the beaches of Brittany on a Eurocamp holiday in Carantec, staying at the lively Les Mouettes, just a short drive from the port of Roscoff.
This year, their dream is to head back to Brittany to discover more of its 1,600 miles of coastline.
The Nicks Family's Story
"What these Eurocamp holidays are about can best be summed up in one word...freedom. Freedom to roam, to explore and to experience a different way of life from that back home.
We may have to hang in there and wait a little longer for our next holiday. But like with every great trip, the wait will make it all the more worth it".
