As well as making good sense, it is a condition of booking that you are adequately insured. You can purchase travel insurance through us, or elsewhere. If you decide to purchase insurance elsewhere, you will need to provide the name of your insurer and the policy number.
Please note that the European Health Insurance Card (the old E111) is not a substitute for medical insurance. This card gives you access to the same state provided healthcare as a resident of the EU country you are visiting. Cover varies from country to country but usually does not pay for such things as ambulances, rescue and repatriation or even the full cost of a hospital stay or prescribed drugs. It also does not provide any cover for cancellation, travel delay and disruption or your personal belongings.
