Your parc is in Manche, on the Cotentin Peninsula, in northern France. The area is best-known for being home to the island of Mont Saint Michel, but there’s a lot more to Manche than its famous monastery.

Around the Cotentin Peninsula there are plenty of beaches (especially along the western coast), along with woodlands, open fields, marshlands and rolling headlands. The east of the peninsula is where the Normandy landings took place – so if you’re travelling with any history fans it’s well worth a trip over to the D-Day Landings Museum at Sainte-Marie-du-Mont. If you decide to pop over to Brittany, Saint Malo is a little under an hour away. Plus the charming villages of Dol de Bretagne and Dinan are easily reached by car.
