The aqua complex at Lou Pignada Messanges is the heart of the parc. It covers an immense area and blends pools, a splash playground and three different sized waterslides. There’s even a relaxing lazy river that meanders around the perimeter. Go with the flow along its 80-metre trail in your own inflatable – or float with a loved one on a two-seater tube!

With a bar, restaurant and pizzeria, you won’t go hungry (or thirsty) at this enjoyable parc. You can take freshly made pizza home for dinner at your place, and perhaps return to the bar for a nightcap, and listen to some live music.

Lou Pignada Messanges is on the southern coast of Landes. It’s an area famed for its uncrowded beaches and there are several golden stretches a stone’s throw from the parc – including two in the village for starters. The Atlantic waves make it a brilliant spot for surfing, plus there are plenty of other watersports to try your hand at.

The parc is set in a lush pine forest, criss crossed with cycle paths and hiking trails. You’ll also find several lakes dotted across the region that make great spots for picnics. We recommend Lake Hossegor, a 20-minute drive from the parc. Oysters are farmed in the lake’s tidal waters – order a dozen while you’re here!
