Overlooked by the popular bar and surrounded by a sun terrace complete with loungers and parasols, it's a really pleasant spot to soak up the rays and watch the children splash. Furthermore, just 200m down the road is L'Aunisceane water complex, with heated indoor and outdoor pools, plus lazy river and large waterslide - perfect for all weather swimming.

Here at La Tranche is the longest south-facing beach in the Vendée, where watersports and sea fishing are very popular activities. Les Sables d'Olonne is a lively beach resort, and is home to a popular zoo, about 35km from the parc. Further afield is the busy harbour town of La Rochelle, where once you've wandered the cobbled streets you can pay a visit to its aquarium, home to over 12,000 marine animals including sharks.
