Camping in Italy

Why we love holidays in Italy

Holiday in Italy, and a world of discovery and possibilities open up to you. There are few places on Earth as rich with history, and ripe with beauty, from the mountains to the Mediterranean. Not to mention as rewarding, if family holidays full of fun are your first priority.

This is a country with an irresistible blend of stunning beaches, family-friendly resorts, and hidden treasures seemingly around every corner. It’s why we’ve more new parcs here than in any other country. We’ve fallen for Italy in a big way. We think you will too.

Beaches Things to do Things to see

Our favourite beaches in Italy

Italy's spectacular shoreline offers a beach experience for every kind of holiday. Along the Adriatic Coast, and down to the golden sands of Emilia Romagna, the Italians have perfected the art of seaside hospitality, with resorts offering seemingly endless variations of beachside culture: waterparks, watersports, colourful umbrellas and gelateria aplenty.

Further south along the Adriatic, Abruzzo offers a more untamed coastal character where rocky headlands are punctuated with beaches like Punta Penna and Vasto that remain refreshingly uncrowded even in high summer.

Crossing to the Tyrrhenian Sea, Tuscany's coastline, with its wild, pine-backed beaches, is pure sensory overload, and delightful. The Campania region delivers some of Italy's most dramatically beautiful coastal landscapes, from the volcanic black sands of Positano to the legendary beauty of Capri's Marina Piccola.

In contrast, Puglia's extensive coastline offers Caribbean-like white sands and translucent waters at Pescoluse, known as the Maldives of Salento, and (our favourite) the striking limestone formations of Polignano a Mare.

Finally, Sardinia is perhaps home to the Mediterranean's finest beaches, where the famed Costa Smeralda sets the standard with its perfect crescents of powder-fine sand.

Southern Italy is full of energy, with Naples, home of the pizza, bustling with street life. In Puglia, the whitewashed streets of Ostuni cascade down its hillside - just don’t try to drive here! Take a tour - you’ll thank us later.
