- We had a great 10 day break at Le Parc de Fierbois - the weather was superb. The campsite is really well laid out and all the main facilities (pool, shop, restaurants) were easily accessible for my son who uses a wheelchair. The pools are good and there is fun to be had guessing which rules the lifeguards are going to enforce on anyone day. The shop had all the basics but is 30% more expensive than the Intermarche in St Maure (a 10 minute drive away). The evening entertainment is subdued, which suited us fine but may not meet everyone's wants. We were unable to get a table at the restaurant on the final evening as advanced booking was required but the quality of the food from the takeaway more than made up for it - don't be fooled by initial appearances which may not be so positive. Unfortunately, the lake is not as inviting as the pictures suggest - it is an ugly green colour and the fish will nibble your legs. Accessibility to the lake and indoor pool is also a challenge - the indoor pool has disabled facilities downstairs however the only way to access the pool is up a metal spiral staircase - go figure! Overall the negatives were more than made up for by the positives and we would definitely consider returning to the parc in the future.
